The New iPad Features, Specifications and Comparison With iPad 2

The new, the revolutionary, the third generation, the exact same design- The New iPad! Not anyone can afford $500 for a tablet device, but Apple has some kind of magic (not literally!) that pulls money out of people's pockets. But let's leave that topic for another time. Now, since the release of iPad 2, people have been discussing quite a lot about the upcoming iPad, but they couldn't even predict the name. In fact no-one could! Who on earth would think that it is not going to be iPad, iPad 2, and then iPad 3... The New iPad has the name that speaks for itself! It is new and it is an iPad. That's all you need to know! Except the name, people have been making a lot of rumors which were implying that the upcoming iPad will be no less than revolutionary. Wireless charging was one of those, but any person with a high school education could see the small probability on that one... But let's skip that part. The New iPad was released on March of 2012, and still is one of the best tablets on the market.

Let's see some of the key features that make this iPad new! Traditionally, starting with display. The screen on The New iPad has 9.7 inches in diagonal and it is a base for incredible Retina display. Resolution is simply marvelous at 1536 x 2048 pixels. If you're not so good with raw numbers, screen resolution on modern Full HD televisions is 1080 x 1920 pixels (1080p), so this one is even sharper than that. You will notice the difference between The New iPad and other devices when zooming in to content. Doing that on The New iPad will not affect sharpness of the picture. Comparing to the iPad 2, The New iPad has literally doubled the resolution.

When talking about memory, The New iPad has 1 GB of RAM which is double as much as on the iPad 2, and internal storage varies between 16, 32, and 64 GB. Quite enough for having tons of music and movies with you, anywhere you go.

Camera is, well, pretty fine on The New iPad... I mean, for a tablet, it's pretty good, but in general it's just fine. Main camera is capable of making 5mp shots, while video camera captures video in aforementioned full hd (1080p) at 30fps. Although pretty cruel, if you compare that to iPad 2' 0.7 megapixels, this one is circa 7 times better. Still no LED flash, but you can't expect everything in one punch. Apple has to leave something to call new on the next iPad...

Other than that, some features to mention are 4G LTE (ultra fast internet) and an awesome 11 560 mAh battery to support all of that.

Of course, The New iPad has a powerful processor (sadly the same as in the iPad 2) to keep running everything smoothly. It is a 1 Ghz dual-core processor, which also did a good job on the iPad 2.
Now, the GPU is quite a treat! The PowerVR SGX543MP4 is in fact a quad-core GPU, and if you don't know what that means- let's just say that in combination with the Retina display offers you a pleasant visual experience!

The New iPad is certainly revolutionary, at least in comparison with its ancestor, and it makes one hell of a tablet in general. Anything you could want from a tablet is there, and it's fair to say that The New iPad can call itself the king of tablets (at least for now)!
